Thursday Evenings: 5:00 – 6:00 pm
Saturday Mornings: 7:00 – 8:00 am

We skate to learn, we skate for fun & we skate to compete, both at a Regional and Provincial Level.
We held our AGM on July 26th, 2026 and to all that took time out of your Sunday to be with us a big thank you.
In short, we had a good season. We finished it with money in the bank. The current demographics of our club mean that all of our racers are currently skating in the provincial circuit and those that raced did well. The highlight of our season was a Learn to Skate/Open House we held in February to coincide with the Winter Olympics. The night was very well attended and bodes well for an increase in membership for the 2026/27 season.
For the past five seasons we have offered an annual scholarship in memory of Dave Adams. This past season Conor was the recipient of that scholarship. A very deserving candidate and we wish him well as he starts university in September.
I said yes to the presidency of this club some fourteen years ago and during that period have seen a lot of growth. I truly believe it is well positioned for the years to come. These past four years have been somewhat of a health challenge and have made me truly appreciate just how close our speed skating community is. So, for all who have been my muscle, my driver, my memory and my help of late, a heart felt thank you to all.
Claire stepped forward at the AGM and I am happy to introduce her to you as the new President of the Kawartha Quarks for the 2026/27 skating season. I wish her well and can tell you without hesitation or doubt that you are in good hands.
